While waltzing around Charleston for a few days this week, I found some really great food. So if you’re visiting soon, you must try these! (And if you’re not, you might want to add Charleston to your bucket list.)
They taste even better. Lemon curd, grapefruit, coconut lime, double fudge, honey… every flavor is delicious.
This gem of a bakery is tucked away in a neighborhood and is easy to miss if you don’t know it’s there. Don’t miss it!
Comfort food is hands down fantastic at this charming restaurant located in a historic house in the French quarter. The fried green tomatoes, goat cheese salad, and truffled fries were to die for.
These aren’t just doughnuts, man. They’re art. Want tiramisu? Strawberry stuffed french toast? Bacon maple? This shop is owned by a pastry chef and it shows.
Do you love creative combinations and inventive flavors? And do you want everything to be farm fresh and healthy? You’ve found your nirvana in Butcher & Bee. It’s especially fun to eat tapas-style, ordering lots of small plates and sharing everything.
Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit
I’m not usually a huge breakfast eater, but I made an exception for Callie’s Hot Little Biscuits. Warm, fresh biscuits topped with egg, cheese, sausage, and bacon? Ummm…. yes please.
